REEL REPORTS...

 (7/4/2007)

Visit a 7-Eleven lately? You might get the feeling you’re in a “Simpsons” episode. In honor of “The Simpsons Movie” coming to theatres July 27th, 7-Eleven has transformed a few of their stores in to “Kwik-E-Marts.” The stores will appear to be straight out of the popular cartoon, and sell limited edition products seen on the show. Customers can pick up: Buzz Cola, Krusty O’s Cereal, Radioactive Man comic books, and even Bart’s drink of choice the Squishee.

It seems that the next Batman film from Warner Bros. is taking a fresh approach to marketing. Joker cards were given to various comic stores around Los Angeles. There was no explanation given just words on them that read," I Believe in Harvey Dent Too." If you went to the website it gave the first glimpse of the film's new Joker (Heath Ledger). The page was later removed due to reported hackers; but if you highlight the page with your mouse you might find another one of the Joker's tricks. The film "The Dark Knight" has a tentative release date of July 18, 2008.
